If you are in a genuine and ongoing de facto or spouse relationship with an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen, you may be eligible to apply for a Partner visa, a two-step process, from Temporary to Permanent.
This visa is designed to bring your fiancé to Australia and get married within the visa validity – 9 months.
To sponsor your fiancé, you must be an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen and show intention to marry the prospective spouse.
A temporary visa for applicants who are members of the family unit of a New Zealand citizen, who is not an ‘eligible New Zealand citizen’.
Under this visa category, your parents will be able to join you to spend precious moments together in Australia, temporarily or permanently.
There are different classes and subclasses. Eligibility may depend on a number of factors, including your parents’ age, residency of all their children, your income – to name a few.
Sponsorship criteria require you to be an Australian citizen/permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
This permanent visa is for a dependent child of a parent who is an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
The child must be:
- under 18 years, a full-time student aged over 18 and under 25, or over 18 and unable to work due to a disability
- financially dependent on the parent
- single
- sponsored by an eligible parent or their parent's spouse or de facto partner
This visa allows a child who has been adopted or is in the process of being adopted to be living in Australia with their eligible adoptive parent.
The sponsoring eligible adoptive parent or prospective adoptive parent must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen
The child must be:
- adopted (or to be adopted), with the involvement of an Australian State/Territory central adoption authority, under
- adopted by expatriate Australians who have been living outside Australia for more than 12 months before making the visa application.
With this visa an orphan can live permanently in Australia with a relative, who is a settled Australian citizen or permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
The orphan must be: under 18 years of age, single and with no parent to be cared for by.
This temporary visa is designed for the dependent children of a temporary Partner or Dependent child visa holder.
Once granted, the child can be added to the parent’s permanent Partner visa application.
The sponsor must be the same person who sponsored their parent's permanent stage.
If you are the remaining relative of an Australian citizen or permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen, you can be sponsored by them.
You (or your partner) must not have other near relatives living offshore or on a temporary visa/unlawful onshore.
This permanent visa will allow you to be sponsored to provide ongoing substantial assistance and support to your sponsoring relative or their family member living with them who has no access to other care options in Australia, despite their medical condition.
Your sponsor must be
- your relative or your relative’s partner and
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
