Visitor & Working Holiday

This temporary visa is for people who want to visit Australia.

There are different types and streams of visitor visas, depending on the Country of passport and stay requested: subclass 600 – subclass 651 (eVisitor) – subclass 601 (Electronic Travel Authority).

There is no age limit, but you must be a genuine temporary visitor and have funds to support your stay.

You can also be sponsored by an Australian family member or government official.

Businesspeople who need to be in Australia for business purposes can also apply for this visa.

  This visa allows you to transit through Australia for no longer than 72 hours.

The best visa if you are between 18 and 30* (inclusive) years old and want to travel and work in Australia.

You can access this one-year visa if you are the passport holder of eligible countries and have sufficient funds to support your initial stay in Australia.

You can renew it for a second year if you work for at least 88 days in a specified regional area and occupation.

You can extend your stay for an additional third year if, during your second WHV, you work in a specified job for 6 months in a specified regional area.

You can study for up to 4 months.

*age limit is 35 for some passport countries

Similarly to the Working Holiday visa, the Work & Holiday is for applicants aged between 18 and 30 (inclusive) years old and holders of eligible passports.

You can renew it for a second year if you work for at least 88 days in a specified regional area and occupation.

You can extend your stay for an additional third year if you work in a specified job for at least 6 months in a specified regional area during your second W&H.

You can study for up to 4 months.

Differently from the WHV, for the W&H, you must meet the relevant education requirement and have at least Functional English.

You are also required to provide a letter of support from your government – exemptions apply for specific Countries.
